AI phone assistant
An AI phone assistant for the calls you keep putting off
Callio is an AI phone assistant that makes outgoing calls for you. Pick a business, say what you need, and it dials, works through a short phone menu, asks your questions, and sends back the answer with the full transcript. You never pick up the phone.
Callio's AI assistant never pretends to be a person. It identifies itself as an AI when asked, and up front on booking calls.
How it works
You describe it once, Callio does the rest
Three steps between the question in your head and the answer in writing.
- 01
Say what you need
Find the business in Callio or share it from Google Maps, then type the request in your own words. Callio shows you what it will ask before anything is dialed.
- 02
Callio makes the call
It dials from its own line, presses through a short phone menu toward a person, and asks your questions one at a time. If the tree is deep or never offers a person, it stops and tells you so. It says it's an AI when asked, and up front on booking calls.
- 03
Read what they said
You get a summary in your language plus the entire conversation as text, so the answer and any conditions attached to it are there in writing.
Describe the call once. Callio dials, handles the conversation, and hands back a summary and the full transcript.
What it's good at
The calls an AI assistant should be making
Everyday calls to local businesses, where a real person picks up and one question decides your afternoon.
Booking and changing
Reserve a table, book a slot, move an appointment you already have. The kind of thing that still only happens by phone.
Questions with no online answer
Whether they have it, what it costs, whether they can accommodate a request. Details that live in someone's head, not on a page.
Calls that mean waiting
A short phone menu, then hold. Callio sits through it so the waiting isn't yours.
Calls you want a record of
Every call comes back as a full transcript, so what they told you is written down rather than half remembered.
Why Callio
What separates it from dialing yourself
You see the plan first
Callio shows you what it will ask before it dials, and nothing is placed until you approve it.
Your number, only when they need it
Calls go out on Callio's own line, so your number is never their caller ID. On a booking, Callio gives them the number from your profile if they ask, so they can confirm. On a call that just asks a question, they get nothing.
The whole conversation, in writing
Not just a verdict. You read what was actually said, including the conditions that came with the answer.
Questions
What it can and can't do
What is an AI phone assistant?
It is software that places a phone call for you and holds the conversation on your behalf. Callio is the outgoing kind: you tell it what you need from a business, and it dials that business, asks, and reports back. That is the opposite of an AI receptionist, which answers a business's incoming calls.
Does it sound like a person, and does it say it's an AI?
It speaks with a natural voice, and it never claims to be a human. It identifies itself as an AI when asked, and states it up front on booking calls.
What can it not do?
It is built for local businesses where a person answers. Numbers that never reach the place you picked, like support hotlines, government lines, and systems that ask for an account number, are outside what it does. When Callio recognizes one, it tells you before dialing instead of burning a call.
What language does it call in?
Calls are placed in English. You can write your request in English, Spanish, or Chinese, and the summary comes back in your language.
